Qigong & Yin workshop: Energise & Restore
Charity Workshop in support of West Kent Mind All proceeds donated to West Kent Mind
Beginners are welcome.
There is a particular kind of tired that a good night's sleep does not fix. The one that sits in your shoulders, your jaw, the back of your mind. If that is where you are, this workshop is for you.
This workshop is for you if you have been running on empty and need a proper rest in a beautiful serene setting. You will leave feeling lighter, calmer and inspired.
You start with a seasonal practice inspired by the energy of winter, expect flowing movement to warm the body and harmonise your energy. Then slow things down into long melting stretches, enjoy a refreshing herbal tea and close with a deeply guided relaxation with sound healing.
What is included
A blend of yoga and qigong flow, slow floor-based stretching, a guided deep rest with sound healing, and herbal teas.
What to expect
Yoga and Qigong flow
We begin with gentle, seasonal movement that combines yoga with qigong, a slow mindful energy practice rooted in Chinese medicine. It is playful, grounding and suitable for any body. No prior experience needed.
Yin Yoga
A slower, floor-based practice where poses are held for a few minutes at a time. Wonderful if you feel stiff, struggle to sleep or simply need to slow down. Long melting stretches that release tension you did not even know you were carrying.
Yoga Nidra with Sound Healing
Also known as deep rest. You lie down, get comfortable, cover yourself with a blanket and simply listen. I guide you into a state between waking and sleep while sound healing plays gently in the background. Most people describe it as the most rested they have felt in months, some say they cannot remember the last time they felt this still.
Venue
We will meet at Boundes Studio, a beautiful venue surrounded by nature.
Boundes Studio, 17 Bounds Oak Way, Southborough, TN4 0TW, Tunbridge Wells
Price: £40 per person, all proceeds go to West Kent Mind.
You'll end with a cup of herbal tea in hand, and hopefully a little more space than you arrived with.
